One of those days that you're on the wrong kit. Was convinced that it was going to build so stuck to my 4.7 and in the lulls i was getting hammered by the waves half way out. Then come 12ish finnally a big blow which got me out into the 2m + out the back, down the end, for the wind to drop down to a force 4.
Yeah, you do get washed back in when you can't get back on in big surf.
